“I believe that one of the next great moves of God is going to be through the believers in the workplace.”
—Dr Billy Graham* Lausanne Cape Town, 2000
How do God's people walk out church doors on a Sunday discipled for Monday to Saturday and feeling equipped to go into an increasingly hostile secular culture? Local churches play a vital role towards our congregation members going confidently into a world telling them to be ashamed of the church and to remain silent about their faith and their Lord. How does anybody connect and pastorally care for another when work, business, the playgroup, the school gate, uni or gym is a challenge to our walk with Jesus?
Hear from lecturer and Workship author Kara Martin and pastor Matt Waldron in this strategic and paradigm-shifting workshop.
We will look at the church gathered – shaping worship and preaching to support and affirm expressing faith in all of life; as well as the church scattered – increasing engagement of all Christians to live and speak the Gospel wherever the Sovereign God puts them. Matt will share what has been implemented at Three Crosses and will provide doable next steps which won't add to your workload.
Kara has worked in media and communications, human resources, business analysis and policy development roles, in a variety of organisations, and as a consultant. Kara currently lectures in Finding your Purpose, Practical Discipleship and Mentoring, Faith and Vocation Integration and Organisational Leadership.
Matt Waldron has been church-planter and pastor at Three Crosses WPC Murdoch for over 10 years after being part of Bullcreek WPC. He has infectious enthusiasm and support for seeing people live out their faith in all spheres. Matt's guide for 'Frontline' interviews in church is included in Workship 2. On campus he loves interacting with university students and challenging their conformity to their culture.
